What Is Miscellania?
Miscellania is a small island located in the northern Fremmenik provinces. After completing a series of quests,
a player can become ruler of this island access the resources harvested by Miscellania's citizens.
Your hardworking subjects will work for you 24/7, harvesting a variety of natural resources such as fish, coal, and
flax at your command. Managing Miscellania takes very little work, and is a great way to earn a significant amount
of extra money with very little investment.
Travel to Miscellania by talking to the sailor at the docks just north of Rellekka

How to Maintain Your Kingdom
Once you're the ruler of Miscellania, you must fund your kingdom and maintain your Approval Rating by helping
your subjects with their work. The more money you put in your kingdom's coffers and the higher your approval
rating, the harder your subjects will work and the more profit you will earn. Finally, you must tell your workers
what sort of resources to gather for you.
|
Your Approval Rating
Your Approval rating is a number between 1% and 100% that shows how happy your subjects are
with your performance as ruler. The higher this rating is, the more you will profit.
Your Approval Rating can be increased by helping your subjects with their chores. The fastest way to
raise your rating is by cutting Maple Trees with Lumberjack Leif (he's right on the way to the castle,
you gain 0.5% popularity for every log you cut).
Your Approval Rating will automatically drop 3% every day (1% a day if you've finished Royal Trouble), so visit your kingdom
once or twice a week to top it off.
|

Up your Approval Rating by helping your subjects
|
Funding The Kingdom
You must pay your subjects a daily wage for their services. You must deposit coins in your kingdom's coffers
to pay this wage - 10% of your coffer's current contents will be deducted every day to pay your workers (up to 50K
per day, or 75K per day after Royal Trouble).
Always ensure that there is enough money in the coffers to pay your workers maximum wage, as this will ensure that
they work their hardest and earn you the greatest profit. You can add coins to the coffers by talking to Advisor
Ghrim in the throne room. You can deposit up to 5M coins before Royal Trouble, and up to 7.5M afterwards.
Resource Allocation
 |
From the same interface used to deposit and withdraw money from your kingdom's coffers, you can tell your workers
what types of resources to gather for you.
|
Use the up and down arrows to move workers to different resources, and assign most of your workers to gather the
most profitable resources (listed later in this guide). make sure none of your workers are left idle, or you'll
be paying them for sitting in their houses all day!
Maximizing Your Profit
|
Choosing the best resources for your subjects to gather, keeping your Approval Rating high,
and keeping your coffers well stocked are all essential to getting the most out of your kingdom.
Resources will be collected from your subjects by Advisor Ghrim once every day, and held by him
until you come to collect them.
|
Talk to Advisor Ghrim to fill your coffers and claim your resources
|
Assuming you have completed Royal Trouble, keep your Approval Rating at 100% and have at least 75k in your coffers,
you will get the following rewards every day if you have assigned the maximum workers to gather that particular resource.
| Mining |
542 Coal, 3-4 random uncut gems |
| Wood |
892 Maple Logs, 8 assorted Bird's Nests |
| Flax |
1,250 Flax and several random herb seeds |
| Herbs |
61 assorted herbs (10-17 Tarromin, 8-20 Harralander, 1-5 Ranarr, 5-13 Irit, 7-11 Avantoe, 3-9 Kwuarm, 2-5 Cadantine, 1-4 Lantadyme, 1-6 Dwarf weed) |
| Fishing |
440 Tuna, 131 Swordfish, 4 Caskets, 4 uncut gems, several green Fremennik boots and gloves, Tooth or Loop half of key (sometimes), Clue Scroll (lvl 1 or 2) (sometimes) |
| Hardwood |
301 Teak logs OR 204 Mahogany logs OR 121 Teak logs AND Mahogany logs (depending on your settings) |
| Farming |
248-250 Allotment seeds, 58-62 Flower seeds, 19-24 Herb seeds, 38-40 Bush seeds, 3-4 Special seeds, 1 Tree seed, 1 Fruit Tree seed |
So what combination should you pick for maximum profit? While the exact profit you will make depends on the current Grand Exchange
value of the supplies your subjects gather, there are several resource types that are (as a general rule) the most profitable.
The most profitable resource types are Uncooked Fish (approximately 100k profit), Farming (variable, but around 100k profit from seeds) and Mining (about 80k profit in coal).
These numbers assume that you have full coffers and a topped-off approval rating, as well as maximum workers assigned to the resource.
Many players choose to focus on Fishing and Mining, as selling the wide variety of seeds you obtain from farming can take some time.
After talking to Advisor Ghrim in the throne room, he will show you a list of resources your subjects have collected and offer to send them directly to your
bank. Below is an example of Miscellania rewards obtained after several days.
Tips and Tricks
- Visit Miscellania at least once every other day to top off your Approval Rating and collect your resources.
- Be sure to complete Royal Trouble in order to maximize your kingdom's profits.
- Always complete any Clue Scrolls in your bank before collecting your kingdom's rewards (if you already have one clue scroll, you can't get another).
- Use an Enchanted Lyre, Fairy Ring code CIP, or move your house to Rellekka to easily get to Miscellania.
- Do not kill Miscellanian citizens or steal from Miscellanian vendors, as this will decrease your Approval Rating!
- Your Miscellanian subjects will continue to gather resources for you even if you run out of membership!
