Ultimate Aviensies Guide
Guide Contributed By Sarad0m1nz & MITD
Info
Aviansies are flying monsters located in the Armadyl section of the God Wars Dunbeon, ranging in level from level 69
to level 148. They attack with range and magic, and are famous for dropping ample amounts of noted Adamant bars.
Aviansies are commonly referred to as one of the most popular ways to earn high amounts of profit and
XP at once in all of RuneScape, and Aviansie trips provide the main source of income for many adventurers.
This guide will help you prepare for an Aviansies trip and optimize your character for maximum profits and experience.
Required/Suggested Skill Levels
As Aviansies are located in the God Wars Dungeon, you must have either 60 strength or 60 agility to enter (you can use
potions or temporary boosts to meet this requirement). You must have at least 70 range to gain access to Armadyl's Eyrie,
the section of the GWD where the Aviansies live (although you can find them in the main dungeon as well, you will be
distracted more often by the other monsters roaming the area).
Because Aviansies are flying creatures, they cannot be attakled with melee weapons. Thus, it is recommended that you have
a ranging level of at least 60 (preferably 70+) to efficiently dispatch them. At least 40+ prayer is highly recommended,
and 55+ mage for High Alchemy will greatly increase the amount of profit you can collect.
What to Wear
It's hard to find the optimal equipment for an Aviansies trip since there are so many factors involved, but there are several
basic types of equipment that are absolutely necessary for a successful foray into the Aviansies' dungeon. A good setup is
shown below, with more options and information following.
God Equipment
In order to make your way for the chaos of the GWD without being destroyed from all sides, it is essential that
you wear at least one piece of clothing or armor representing each God to keep his followers from attacking you
(if you can get into Armadyl's Eyrie, the only other monsters to worry about will be some assorted followers
of Zamorak. The most cost effective way to appease all the gods is by bringing a Zamorak chaps, Saradomin coif,
Armadyl pendant, Ancient Mace, Holy Symbol and Unholy symbol (although this is far from the best setup if you
can afford better equipment). Wear the best god-related protection you can afford.
Weapon and Ammunition
A rune crossbow is recommended, as it is required to access Armadyl's Eyrie (a Mithril grapple is also needed) and gives the
added bonus of allowing you to bring a shield as well. Suggested ammunition is broad bolts (or you have 51 slayer) or mithril
bolts if you do not (higher level bolts are better, but less cost effective). You should bring approximately 2,000 bolts for
a long Aviansies trip, and Ava's Attractor is highly recommended to collect your dropped bolts.
Armor
While making allowances for god-related equipment and your Attractor, equip the BEST armor you can afford, and take advantage of the
lending system to borrow anything you can't. The higher your overall defence bonus, the less damage you will take and the longer
you will be able to stay and collect loot in the GWD. You may wish to bring a Ring of Life to protect your gear, otherwise
wear a Ring of Wealth or any ring that offers stat bonuses.
What to Bring

|
Standard Aviansies Inventory
This is the standard inventory for Aviansies: two Law Runes for teleporting to Trollheim, a fire staff and
nature runes for high-alching drops, Bones To Peaches teletabs for genereating food while in the field, and
and high-level food (sharks or pineapple pizzas can also be used). This inventory limits your trip length to
as long as your food sources last.
|
Pure/Prayer Inventory
Some players, especially pures, prefer to use an inventory similar to this. Besides Alchemy supplies and
emergency food (Bones-To-Peaches tabs can be brought as well), an inventory full of Prayer potions will
allow you to use the Protect from Missiles prayer throughout your trip. It is recommended that you wear
equipment with extra prayer bonus to maximize the time you can stay.

Titan Method Inventory
Players with a sufficient Summoning level can make use of any Titan familiar's special attack
instead of food (The Titan's Constitution special raises defence by 12.5% and hitpoints by 8,
so up to 24 hitpoints can be gained per special attack bar). It is advised to bring
alchemy equipment and a one-click teleport for use after your Titan pounces are used up.
Super Restore potions, emergency food, and Bones-To-Peaches tabs will increase the length of your stay.
|
Balanced Inventory
Players can make use of a balanced inventory to enjoy the advantages of all the methods listed above,
as well as the helpful items listed below.
Make sure to bring a reserve of emergency food and achemy equipment, and many players prefer to bring
a one-click teleport as a quick escape option. After you've been to the Aviansies a few times, you can
build an inventory that best fits your style.

Helpful Items
Several items are also very helpful when fighting Aviensies. Excalibur is often brought for it's defence-boosting
special attack, and Enhanced Excalibur (from the Seer's Villiage Achievement Diary) can heal up to 20hp as well.
A Mithril Grapple is required if you want to enter Armadyl's Eyrie, and Regen Bracelets and Rings of Wealth are often
brought for their respective abilities.
Getting to the God Wars Dungeon
Use the following steps to get to the entrance of the God Wars Dungeon using the Trollheim Teleport method.
1. Teleport to Trollheim.
2. Go down to the bottom from the top of the hill and use the agility shortcuts if you can.
3. When you see the trolls, range pray until you reach the rock.
4. Push the rock and once your in, your stats will slowly start being drained.
5. Protect Melee when you reach the wolves and if it's your first time use a rope and go down.
6. Use the map below to find the Aviansies in the God Wars Dungeon
Drops
Aviansies drop a variety of valueble loot, the most popular of which being
noted Adamant bars. You should pick up the following drops, and leave or
alch the rest:
- 4 Adamant Bars (noted) (Drops frequently)
- Rune Dagger (High Alch)
- Blood Runes (Collect, they will add up)
- Water Runes (Collect, they will add up)
- 5 Swordfish (I recommend you pick this up because food is important)
- Nature Runes (Adds up and can use for high alching)
- Law Runes (Useful as an exit teleport)
- Runite Limbs (High Alch)
- Herbs (Only collect Rannars)
You can easily make well over 400k an hour, and players with high levels and good equipment
can find themselves making 500k-700k. The following picture shows the loot yielded by an
average trip to the Aviansies (prices may not be up to date).
