I. Info on the Abyssal Demon
The abyssal demon is a level 124 members-only demon, which which can yield great rewards
for skilled adventurers. Aside from a wide variety of valuable loot, the Abyssal Demon
is the only monster to drop the highly coveted Abyssal Whip - worth over 1.5M each on the street.
The Abyssal Demon has 150 health points and is non-aggressive and non-poisonous. When fighting the demon, it teleports between the
four squares next to you, so it is highly recommended that you leave
auto-retaliate on, just to make your job a little easier.
II. Required/Suggested Skills
Requirements
- 85 Slayer
- Priest in Peril Quest
Suggested Levels
- 80+ Attack, Strength, Defense
- 70+ Prayer (if you run out of food)
- 68 Summoning to bring Bunyip Pouches

- 65 Agility for 2 agility shortcuts, making the trip a lot faster

IV. What To Bring
These are the four most common inventories brought to the abyssal demons.
I prefer the regular options: numbers one and two because they work
very efficiently.
V. Getting To the Slayer Tower
Green-Walk/run from Varrock east bank past
the gate and down into the tunnel, go up the cave entrance, and walk
to the slayer tower.
Black-Walk/run past
the gate and go south at the monastery to the agility shortcut (65 agility
required). Then follow the path regularly.
Red-Use the ancient magicks Kharyrll Teleport
to the Canifis bar (66 magic required) and walk regularly up to the
slayer tower.
There is also an obelisk at
the fork to recharge summoning points.
Finding The Demons
When you arrive at the Slayer Tower, proceed to the third floor to find the Abyssal Demons.
Make sure to wear your nosepeg before going to the second floor because
the Aberrant Specters can inflict major damage on you if you don’t
have the nosepeg on. Because they’re only worth 200 gp, you
can drop them after you get to the third floor to save up inventory
space. There is a shorter way up if you have 65 agility or higher, so this is recommended.
VI. Killing the Abyssal Demon
Abyssal
demons have low defense for their level and is suggested to overpower
them especially with a god sword or abyssal whip. You can get
very good drops from them, especially the highly sought after item:
the abyssal whip. They drop crimson charms at a very high rate.
VII. Drops
100% - Ashes (don’t even bother picking up)
What To Keep-
Dragon Spear, Rune Battleaxe, Rune 2h, Dragon Med Helm, Rune Chainbody,
Rune Kiteshield, Rune Med Helm, Rune Sq Shield, All Runes/Arrows, Clue
Scroll, Cut Dragonstone, Half Keys, Herbs, Runite Bar, 60 Noted Pure
Essence, 100 Noted Silver Ores
What to Alch- anything that is over the price of a nature rune and something you wouldn’t
waste space carrying in your inventory (ex. Mithril Kiteshield, Black Sword)
If you are lucky enough, you will get the most sought after drop from the Abyssal Demon: the Abyssal Whip, worth over 1.5M in the Grand Exchange.
